You would join us as part of a cross functional stream-aligned team dedicated to delivering each aspect of our products. Each team follows an agile process - we practice TDD, pair programming and CI with continuous deployment.
As a Backend Engineer, you’ll be involved in building real-time architectures designed for massive scale and has strong interest in developing real-time analytics supporting real-time cyber threat detection and automated security responses.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute through all the phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Write well designed, clean, secure and testable code
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in writing maintainable and production-grade code, in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go
- Experience writing automation tests, best if following TDD
- Experience working with distributed systems, as well as dealing with scalability and performance aspects of services
- Understanding of agile development methodologies & tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
- Ability to work with version control systems (git) and related best practices (pull requests, git flow, etc.)
- Experience designing RESTful APIs services
- Experience with containers and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of cloud-based environments and related services such as Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- Knowledge of monitoring technologies like Prometheus and Grafana, as well as APM systems
- BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related disciplines
- Fluency in English
